MUSIC CULTURE? why not?!

Emo, Rock, Hiphop, Punk, Screamo, Ghetto, Conyo, Ragged, hmm… what else? Well…whatever it is, STILL, they are part of what we heard in our TV’s, radios and even listed on the daily top HITS! But did you noticed? Why this music evolved? How they become famous than your favorite anime hero? Or let’s even say, “Where this music came from? Whose is whose? Which is which? What is what?

Basically, it’s merely about… MUSIC (?) haha. Of course! Those questions above can obviously be answered via e-book, PDF, Google books, encyclopedias, dictionaries or if you’re wise enough, you will simply ask your MAPEH teacher right? J But HEY! I’m not shallow. What I’m going to tackle is not purely MUSIC but the product of those who are really fascinated on this kind of art.

MUSIC, just like what I’ve read in e-book, is the language of heart… of soul or we can even say an emotional language? Wait. I think I’m going too far into it. Anyhow, these genres are slowly turning into a CULTURE. Yeah. You read it right! It’s Culture. Nowadays, music can be also defined as part of our culture. Wait! Did you know what culture means? Again, it’s a shallow question. J Well, it’s about anything and everything that happens, happening, and happened in our society that brought by our status quo. It seems like this:

   STATUS QUO
               Perceptions
+             Public’s acceptance
               CULTURE

Every one of us has their own culture. And I do believe that people were born individually and affecting others’ personality. So as we born and learn things, we want to be somebody just to be “SOMEBODY”. Going back, by this culture, we come up into new things ‘cause everybody wants to be famous, be known, feel UNIQUE, indifferent, one-of-a-kind, or simply, be like an ENDANGERED SPECIE; to have his own “IDENTITY”. But across the bowlines, these prerogatives became so well-known. I mean, due to that demanding factor, people striving their best to conquer the epidemic holocaust within the society and themselves. They are losing their identities as they going far through it. They became duplicated and not valid. Oh! The issue of validity is another story J

As we look on our self-identity, we became wiser and wiser into lesser things. Just like in music. We heard it, we sing it and finally, we come up into our own songs and kind of music; or beyond those words, we became so attached to the point that we dressed like a rocker, put a bling bling like Snoop Dogg does, or worst, put a scar on our wrist just to prove that you’re an ultimate EMO. In short, we became so well-inflicted. We already make ourselves be part of the music. We make our music as lifestyle and lifestyle as our culture and this culture as part of everybody’s reason of existence.
